The Scandinavia sofa is a classic sofa designed by Glismand & Rüdiger.
Its structure is composed of sustainable European forestry solid wood, while the fabric cushions are upholstered on both sides and the armrests have extra padding for added comfort.
Under the cushions you will find a unique lining and a slightly raised edge, which prevents the pads from slipping. The legs are available in several different materials and with two height options, while the cushions are available with down and foam filling, and can be covered with wool, leather, velvet or other among the various fabrics available.
All these factors result in a unique sofa, both in terms of production and aesthetics, and with a timeless quality that will be transmitted from generation to generation.

The Scandinavia sofa is a classic sofa designed by Glismand & Rüdiger. Under neath the cushions is a unique lining and a slightly raised edge, which prevents the cushions from slipping. The legs are available in various materials and with two height options, while the cushions are available with fuzz and foam filling, and can be coated with wool, leather, velvet or one of our numerous furniture fabrics. All these factors result in a totally unique sofa, both in terms of production and aesthetics, and with a timeless quality that will be transmitted from generation to generation.

Fabric
Nantes is 100% polyester fabric and is an absolute sales champion. This elegant fabric with a visible structure is stain resistant and durable. Nantes is a timeless padding fabric certified by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and made to last.

Polyester and nylon fiber
Polyester and nylon fibers are durable and easy to maintain. These types of fabric are highly recommended for tough environments. Fabrics such as velvet change color when exposed to light coming from different directions. This is not a defect, but it is due to the nature of the fabric and adds an interesting touch.
Care to be taken with polyester and nylon fibres
For waterproofing the fabric and removing stains, we recommend the use of the Bolia Care Kit, which contains only tested and approved products. Do not rub the fabric surface hard when vacuuming and removing stains, as this may cause pilling.
Dark clothing like jeans can leave marks if they are rubbed into white fabric, like a pair of new jeans on a light fabric sofa.
Recommendations
The fabric of the sofa will not be in the best shape if it is exposed to direct sunlight. Some fabrics fade faster than others. But in general, fabrics made of artificial fiber and light colors are the ones that fade the least. Therefore, if you need a sofa that is exposed to abundant sunlight, synthetic fiber will be a better choice than natural fiber.
In the case of heavy wear and tear, the abrasion resistance (Martindale) should exceed 20,000, while under normal circumstances, an abrasion resistance of 10,000 or more is sufficient. The abrasion resistance of our selected fabrics ranges from 20,000 to 120,000 Martindale. Fabrics with Martindale exceeding 80,000 are suitable for public use.
