Bau is a sculptural pendant lamp designed by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt, who combined composition and geometric shapes into a unique and creative design. Bau is a decorative lamp that matches both minimalist interiors and bolder homes. The design is based on interconnected geometric circles going off in all directions. Bau has an immediate pattern that is broken by the disc sizes and off-center connections, making the lamp vivid and organic in its expression.

Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt explains: "Decoration doesn't have to be restricted to objects that you hang on the wall, but can also be an integral part of more functional objects, such as a table or a lamp. This creates new and exciting opportunities in furniture. When you move your position in relation to Bau, the tight geometric lines are broken. The kind of experience I want people to have is to see the Bau lamp and imagine what it looks like from the other side. It should appeal to people's sense of curiosity."
